Before you add team members or send a single broadcast, it helps to know how ChatMitra organises your WhatsApp setup. The key idea is the project.
Accounts, projects and numbers
Three layers, simplest first:
| Layer | What it is |
|---|---|
| Your account | Your single ChatMitra login |
| Project | A workspace for one WhatsApp number |
| Number | The WhatsApp number customers message |
A project bundles one number with its own team, settings, analytics and subscription. Your one login can hold several projects.
Example: a clothing brand with shops in Delhi and Mumbai runs two projects — “StyleKart Delhi” and “StyleKart Mumbai” — each with its own number and store staff, both under one owner login.
Adding a number
From the dashboard you can add a new number (which creates a new project) by connecting it through the guided signup. A single WABA can hold up to 20 numbers, so you can grow without creating new accounts.
Keeping it organised as you grow
Your account
├── Project: StyleKart Delhi → number + Delhi staff + its plan
└── Project: StyleKart Mumbai → number + Mumbai staff + its plan- One project per brand, branch or client. Data and billing stay separate.
- Name them clearly so the right team picks the right project.
- Add staff per project rather than sharing one login.
This structure scales from one shop to a hundred without getting messy.
