Chat is great for conversation, but some jobs need structure — a booking with a date and time, a lead with a few details. Sending people to an external form loses them. Flows keep it all inside WhatsApp.
What flows and webviews are
A flow (shown through a webview) is a small, structured form that opens inside WhatsApp when a customer taps a button. They fill in a few fields and submit — no app, no browser tab, no leaving the chat.
Example: a salon customer taps “Book appointment”, a form opens in WhatsApp, they pick “Haircut”, choose Saturday 4 PM, and submit. The booking lands with the salon instantly.
Why they convert better
Every extra step loses people. Compare the two paths:
| Old way | With a flow |
|---|---|
| ”Click this link to book” | Tap a button in chat |
| Opens a browser / external site | Form opens inside WhatsApp |
| Many abandon | Most complete |
Staying inside the familiar WhatsApp screen removes the friction that kills external forms.
Where to use them
Tap button → form opens in WhatsApp → fill a few fields → submitted to you- Bookings — service, date, time.
- Lead capture — name, interest, city.
- Order details — size, address, preferences.
- Surveys — a quick rating and comment.
In ChatMitra these are powered by the Webviews feature. Pair a welcome message to greet the customer, then a short flow to capture what you need.
